#lotuspose ? To practice for this #yogaposture you have to stretch out the #myofascia (muscle + connective tissue) mainly of the glutes (buttocks) and the hamstrings (back of the thighs). But not everyone will be able to reach the final #padmasana even with diligent practice. WHY? Due to (tensile and) skeletal variation we all have a different range of motion in the hipjoint. Not everyone has enough of #externalrotation of the femur or thighbone (in combination with abduction and flexion of the femur) required to do padmasana in safety. Never push yourself into #yogaposes , but respect your limits! If you feel pain in your ankle or knee, back off!
